Charles grew up in Edinburgh, attending the prestigious Merchiston Castle School. An upbringing rich in country pursuits such as shooting, fishing and golf in the depths of the Scottish countryside paved the way for a natural transition to Charles' future career in the golf and sporting industry.Following a scholarship to study at South Carolina University he gained a degree in Golf Business Management.  A passion for good quality wine prompted Charlie to gain a WSET qualification in Wine & Spirits and has travelled across France and Italy seeking out little known suppliers. Charles is one of the privileged few to hold a membership at the Home of Golf the R&A, The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers and Royal St Georges.

John Brash

John Brash is founder of Brash Brands, the leading brand consultancy in the MENA region that helps its clients create and build stronger brands in order to drive commercial value. With over two decades in the branding industry John has advised clients from major global corporations to ambitious start-ups and has worked all over the world. An entrepreneur, he has an incurable curiosity for new opportunities and is tireless in pursuing them. John brings an unbelievable injection of creativity to Balmoral Gate, not just through design but business strategy and concepts.

Ewan Loo

Ewan Loo has extensive experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate and financial advisory. Currently an Executive Director and Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer of C&G Environmental Protection Holdings Limited (“C&G”), a leading Waste-to-Energy (“WTE”) investor and operator in China. He is in charge of corporate finance, investor relations and business development of the Group. Ewan’s financial knowledge gives Balmoral Gate’s members a trusted sounding board on the investment opportunities presented. 

Our members obtain key skills in etiquette finishing and gentry activities. These provide and prepare them with the adequate set of skills to own some of Britain's most treasured investment opportunities. A cross training for all family members both male and female.  From great conversation around the dinning table to great investment opportunities.
